Mask

I painted the back custard yellow and the inside blue.  Oth colors are in the arrows and I think complement the arrows nicely. I really like how this turned out. My mask doesn't cover my mouth.

Mask

I finished my mask I painted the whole front maroon, while doing blue, yellow, pink and white chevron on the top and side. The back is mustard yellow. I love the turnout!!!

Mask Progress

I painted multicolored chevron on my mask. It really adds to the maroon and puts it over the edge. I Can't wait until I'm finished tomorrow. The final result will be awesome!!!

Mask

I painted multicolored chevron on the top and sides of my mask. It complements the maroon and gives it an edge.

Abstract Drawing of Current Mood

This is an abstract drawing of my current mood. I am in a great mood. The abstract lines and attention to little details convey my good mood and my excitement for the drawing

Mask

I added another layer of gesso today. After it dries I am going to cut out eyes, probably going to be slanted and normalish, then paint it. I think I might paint it black and yellowish gold for Andrews Mustangs. I'm excited to see the final result and what I do with my project.

Another angle of my mask. It is gessoed, and being painted is next. I am thinking of carving out slanty eyes and painting it black and yellow. I might need more gesso

3rd Drawing Sketchbook

For the third drawing we had to draw four different bottle shapes with shading. I drew just a regular, cylinder shaped glass, a champagne type glass, a wine glass, and one of those tall coke glasses. I shaded the cylindrical glass, the Coe bottle, and the wine glass in the bottom right corner.I shaded the bottom of the wine glass and I shaded the champagne glass in the top right corner.  The bottom right of the page I put my signature and the date in which I drew the drawing.

Gesso Mask

Today in art I gessoed my project. After Thanksgiving break, I'm going to paint it red, white and blue. I might have to add another layer of gesso before I paint. After all of these steps are completed, I am going to cut out the eyes. I haven't figured out which shape yet. Then I will have a finished product!

Second Sketchbook

For my second sketchbook, I drew my stomach after eating. My intestines are twisted up and pretty wide. It includes my intestines, filling in, and my signature and date. The page is completely covered. Enjoy.

First Sketchbook

For my first sketchbook, I had to draw a sculpture in the AHS atrium. I drew a bow and arrow and included the back wall with brick and a window. I also drew a tree and bush in it. I though that this sculpture would be cool becuase the atrium has really green grass, trees, and bushes and it completely closed off.

Progression on mask

I have added 3 layers of paper mâché to my mask and it is starting to take the shape it is going to be. I am going to paper mâché one more time and paint it. After that I will put a peice of cloth in it for comfort and cut out the eyes, and all of the other incisions I might need. Then I will be finished.
I just added the Glascow School of Art Sculpture and Environmental Art blog to my link list. There is tabs for all the different artists on the blog and they all have different styles. Check it out here also: http://sea-studio-blog.blogspot.com

I enjoyed Irby Pace's blog. His photographs captured the beauty of the outdoors, but with this pretty pink smoke. He used several beautiful locations such as a back road and a lake. The smoke looks awesome and really brings out the beauty from the picture. It is a cool blog.

My favorite sculpture was the crocodile eating the capitalist. It is a sculpture in Brooklyn. New York. My favorite part of it is that I understand the history behind it. In the sculpture, the crocodile is coming out of the sewer lid and eating a capitalist. The capitalist's head is a bag of money and has a dollar sign on it.

The blue river flowing under my shoe symbolizes hope. My shoe is attached to a tree stump, which lifts it off the ground and keeps it from touching all the water. The stump stands for the trial that the shoe is going through, but it its still touching the river of hope. My shoe is black in the back, then it fades to green, then to blue. The front blue touches the river, and the green does some as well. The black gets a splash of hope also. The black part is the farthest away from the river and it still touches hope. My shoe exhibits that hope conquers fear.
All of the blogs that I just posted were posted along time ago, but they didn't go through.

Making progress👌

I have finally finished cutting the hole through the sole. I am now going to make a hollow tree that goes through it and holds my shoe off of the ground. I can't decide if I am going to put in my tree, or paint first.
I have finally finished cutting the

Shoe Sculpture

I am currently in the process of cutting a 2" hole through the middle of my shoe. I just have to cut through the rubber sole. I have been doing this with an exacto-knife. Once I am done with the hole, I will have a tree going through it that will hold my shoe off the table.

Shoe project

The right side of my shoe. I am going to add some decorative things on the outside and paint the remaining part of the sole.

Left side of shoe. I am in the process of painting the opening completely brown, and I will have stuff coming out of it.
